National ADAP Working Group (NAWG)

The HIV/AIDS policy coalition CANN has convened since 1996.

NAWG focuses on the federal and state programs that determine HIV/AIDS treatment access in the United States — the AIDS Drug Assistance Program, Ryan White Care Act implementation, ADAP formularies, and the Medicaid and 340B touchpoints that surround them.

Member organizations include AIDS service organizations, ADAP administrators, patient advocacy groups, and HIV/AIDS coalitions from across the country. Members shape NAWG's federal policy priorities, contribute to CANN's research, and convene on the issues moving in Washington and the states.

A working group, not a paywall

NAWG was a paid-membership coalition for nearly three decades. It isn't anymore. The intelligence and analysis NAWG circulates exists to inform the people doing HIV/AIDS access work — and putting that behind dues works against the mission.

The coalition is now open access. No fees, no tiers, no qualification process.

What members receive

Policy intelligence. Timely updates on what's moving in Washington and in state capitals — bills, regulatory action, executive movement — delivered through the NAWG newsletter and periodic policy calls.

Curated news. A monthly digest of the most relevant HIV/AIDS coverage from across the field, including HIV/HCV co-infection developments.

Network and convening. Periodic calls bringing together AIDS service organizations, ADAP administrators, patient advocacy groups, and HIV/AIDS coalitions. The coalition exists so people working on the same problems aren't working in isolation.
